In the coming weeks, Barack Obama will announce that he will send more troops to Afghanistan to continue an imperialist war that has already killed tens of thousands of Afghans, if not more. We must oppose this surge in violence and call for the exact opposite: an end to the occupation and troops home now!

On the day that Obama announces his surge, we will protest in the streets. Code PINK, World Can't Wait, and other activists will meet outside the military recruiting station in Berkeley (map) at 3:30pm. From there, people will march to the downtown Berkeley BART station, and then rally at Powell Street BART in San Francisco (map) at 5:00pm.
