Live from Death Row: A Conversation with Kevin Cooper

EVENT: Live from Death Row: A Conversation with Kevin Cooper

We’re endorsing the DSA San Francisco Justice Committee’s event – Live from Death Row: A Conversation with Kevin Cooper. Join us to hear from Kevin, who sits wrongly-convicted on death row.

On February 10, 2004, Kevin Cooper came within minutes of being executed by the state of California for a crime he did not commit. Kevin is an innocent man sitting on Death Row in California, and will be one of the first to be executed once CA resumes the death penalty. The police and prosecutor misconduct in his case was incredibly egregious – Kevin was tried and convicted in a racist system that was out for blood, not justice. He is an incredibly powerful speaker and activist, and he will be calling in to Koret live from Death Row to speak to the audience about his experience, the barbarism of the death penalty, the racism of California’s justice system, and the agony of being innocent on death row.
